Andrew Campbell, BrickHost, CEO
In June 2003, CamWeb Enterprises moved into solely offering web hosting and offsite data backup services, and emerged as the re-branded CamWeb Enterprises. Andrew Campbell, company CEO, has over 7 years experience in the IT industry, ranging from web design & developing to web marketing and business development. Company COO, Bryan Lokstet has an extensive background in multimedia design and business image building. Both company officers bring a wealth of expertise and experience to the company. BrickHost offers high quality hosting services from the NAC data centre, backed by the corporate server farm in NW Ontario.
What unique selling points do you offer?
BrickHost offers the best of both worlds. The company doesn’t have 1,000,000 clients, where smaller clients tend to get lost in the shuffle, but the firm does have the same level of highly trained staff, and same quality servers. BrickHost also isn’t a bargain basement host whose servers are located in an 18 year olds basement. With years of industry and business experience BrickHost is able to provide clients with the best possible hosting experience.
Describe the services you offer?
Web Hosting - A service that facilitates you to upload and store a website and any associated files, (including video, music, and software and streaming content) on a Web server. The files are then available on the World Wide Web for viewing by any server, network, workstation or home PC connected to the Internet.
Describe your target market?
BrickHost presently hosts websites for clients in over 35 countries. However, the primary market for the firm is small and medium sized businesses in North America, Europe, South Africa and Australia.
According to Bryan Lokstet, COO, “the majority of our clients are businesses who either can’t afford, or don’t want the hassle of running a company web server. BrickHost is affordable and provides better quality hosting than most companies could achieve without a significant investment.”
How is your company planning for the future?
“In five years, according to the corporate business plan, we will have expanded our corporate server farm locally, and will have installed the latest generation servers in a high quality data centre in the US, along with having installed the latest redundant backbone to the Internet for our servers.” Andrew Campbell, CEO. Both Bryan and Andrew were quick to agree that the company dedication to support and quality will not have changed.
What benefits can you offer your customers?
“With a background in web design and development, I understand the importance of quality web hosting. BrickHost allows designers and developers to concentrate on design and development. By fully supporting the client, we are able to allow them to do their best work, and be proud and confident of their end result” according to Bryan Lokstet, COO.
How do you support your customers?
BrickHost offers support though a support ticket system. By publishing the ticket system to clients, customers are able to login and view the status of their issue night and day, it also allows for easier tracking and a greater level of security and accountability. Furthermore, clients can access technical support 24/7 through MSN, ICQ, Yahoo or AIM, along with the proprietary BrickHost Support Chat applet through the website. All of these IM media are monitored 24/7 by trained technical support staff. Lastly, an emergency SMS pager is available from the company website, which pages all technical support staff in the event of an emergency.
